Welcome to the Trailside
...a beautiful new space in a grand old location.
The building was constructed in 1895 and served as a Bicycle Factory for Rouse Hazard & Co. The walls are adorned with original bicycles as well as blueprints for the 20,000 bicycles produced per year.
Through the years many different businesses came and went. The building was weathered and worn.
In 2014 Jeff and Martha Huebner had a vision to relocate their bakery into the historic brick building. In 2016, after a two-year long restoration project, Trailside Event Center was born.
The second-story event venue offers lovely panoramic views of Peoria Heights in a setting of exposed bricks and wooden beams. The original pine floors have been restored and offer guests a welcoming open dance floor.
Trailside's open stairway showcases the flooring and lumber from the building's construction in 1895 and makes a warm first impression for unique events with friends and family.
A private outdoor green space offers a cool atmosphere for photos or mingling, with exposed train rails and easy access to the Rock Island Trail and downtown Peoria Heights.
Accessible parking and a passenger elevator mean everyone can join your celebration!
